





The State Administration Council has issued announcements on the areas affected by Cyclone Mocha as natural disaster areas under Section 11 of the Disaster Management Law and assigned senior military officers to carry out restoration work in the areas of these announcements.
On 26th June, Lt-General Lu Aye from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief (Army) together with the officials visited the monsoon tree plantation ceremony near the Government Technological Collage in Kyaukphyu Township. They also visited the nursing home (Kyaukphyu) in TaungAye Ward where he observed the Tatmadaw Mobile Medical Team giving the medical treatment to older people and local residents.
There, Lt-General Lu Aye provided cooking oil and foodstuffs to the local residents. In addition, he visited the Nga La Pwae (ငလပွေ့) monastery and inspected the restoration of the roofs of the religious buildings damaged by the storm, and donated cash and offertories to the presiding Sayadaw.
