Academic Visit: Inspection at universities and institutes in Shan State

Union Minister for Science and Technology Dr. Myo Thein Kyaw accompained by Shan State Minister of Natural Resources and officials on Wednesday made inspection tour in Shan State (South).

At the Government Technical High School (Panglong), the Union Minister met with the faculty members and urged them to train their students in accordance with setting standards to turn out human resources and creat more job opportunities for youths.

At the University of Computer Studies and Technological University in Panglong, the Union Minister and party oversaw the campus buildings, classrooms, laboratory rooms, workshops and construction processes of campus football ground as well as implementation of cleaning and greening processes for good images of the universities.

On the 5th of September, the Union Minister and party met with the rector and faculty members of University of Computer Studies (Taunggyi) and coordinated the requirement upon the reports of the official.   Then, the Union Minister and party viewed around the research projects implemented by the students.

They then inspected the Government Technical Institute (Taunggyi) and coordinated the requirement. During the inspection tour to Southern Shan State, the Union Minister provided foodstuff and relief aids to lecturers, teachers and staff from Lashio areas.
