Academic Visit: Inspection at the Degree College and Basic Education Schools

Deputy Minister for Education Dr Zaw Myint visited Taunggyi Education Degree College on December 6th to encourage the students performing physical fitness activities. He stressed the importance of physically fitness in pursue education, and urged all to become qualified teachers to provide well training to their students.

During the visit, the Deputy Minister handed over the sports gears, provided by the ministry with the contribution of the state budget allotment.

The Deputy Minister and party later proceeded to No.3 Basic Education Middle School (Branch) in ShweNyaung Township and Makway Village Basic Education Primary School in Kalaw Township. Both schools were affected by the floods, and renovation works are underway.

The Deputy Minister also visited Nan Pan Tet Basic Education Middle School and encouraged the students, outlining the opportunities for vocation education after completing the middle school level.
