Academic Tour: Univesities and schools inspected

Union Minister for Education Dr Nyunt Pe on Thursday inspected the rehabilitation works being carried out at the Mandalar University and Kyaukse University.

During the inspection, the Union Minister oversaw the operation of office works, cleanliness measures, academic matters and arrangements for opening of school in June. They also visited No.1 Basic Education High School, Kyaukse, Lan Gwa Basic Education High Schook and Kumae Basic Education High School and inspected the preparations for opening of the schools in coming June.

He also met with the teachers and explained that students from quake-hit areas have to sit for the matriculation exam due to the losses of answer papers during the severe earthquake. He added that the revision lessons for the students will be provided for the students at the respective schools, along with the provisions of text books and stationery. He also called for cooperation of teahers to ensure the enrollment of all-school-going-aged children.
