Academic Matter: Meeting with educators and honouring the athlete

Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe  met with the rectors of the universities, principals of Education Degree Colleges and township education officers at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on 11th January.

In his speech, the Union Minister stressed on full attendance rate of all school aged children, fulfilling the rights of students, increase school enrollment rate and completing of KG+9 education for all citizens.

The Union Minister also urged to hold seminars and campaigns to nurture the patriotic spirit of the students and to open full time legal education course for the students to broaden their knowledge in laws and procedures.

In order to enhance the skills and capacity of the teachers, the Union Minister encouraged to open the capacity enhancement trainings. He also stressed to uphold Myanmar tradition and culture in holding events at the schools, universities, colleges and education departments and called for the exerted efforts of all of the education personnel for the emergence of the qualified and courteous youths who can shoulder the nation’s responsibilities.

Then, the Deputy Ministers Dr. Zaw Myint and Dr. Moe Zaw Tun made discussions on systematic entrance tests of the honors and doctoral classes and necessary matters on management and teaching methods.

After the meeting, the Union Minister attended the award presentation ceremony to honor the gold medal winner of track and field and discus throw inter ministry tournaments at the 5th National Sports Festival 2024, Ma Nang Um Sai Kham from No.3 Basic Education High School and presented cash awards.
