Academic Institutions: MOE Union Minister inspects damaged facilities

On 20th April, Union Minister for Education Dr. Nyunt Pe accompanied by departmental officials visited universities and degree colleges within Meikhtila Township and gave necessary instructions.

During th tour, the Union Minister visited Meikhitla University, Meikhitla University of Economics, Meikhtila Education Degree College, No.1,2, 3 and 4   Basic Education High Schools, No. 5 Basic Education High School (Shan Te), Basic Education High School (Tawma) and Basic Education High School (Che Set), and inspected the earthquake damaged school buildings, classrooms and halls.

During the meeting with the teachers and faculty members, the Union Minister assured to accelerate the restoration process of the damaged schools to be readied for the upcoming academic year.

He also emphasized on cleanliness of the school compounds, resilience of the school buildings and called for the concerted efforts of the teachers and faculty members to secure uninterrupted access to inclusive education in all circumstances.
