9th Eastern Economic Forum: Myanmar delegation attended the forum

Myanmar delegation led by the member of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister and Union Minister for Transport and Communication General Mya Tun Oo attended the 9th Eastern Economic Forum hosted by Russian Federation in Vladivostok on 4th September.

During the forum, Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr. Thet Thet Khaing and Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than participated in the discussion as panelists.In the evening, Myanmar delegation met with the delegation from Ros-Congress Investments Fund and cordially discussed matters on conducting of working processes which are being carried out by collaboration with Myanmar and Ros-Congress Investments Fund, improvement and future plans.

As separated meetings, the delegation led by Union Minister for Electric Power U Nyan Tun met with the Director General from Rosatom Renewable Energy Joint-Stock Company and the delegation led by Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than met with Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce of the Russian Federation Mr.Alexsei Gruzdev.

On the 5th of September, the delegation attended the Main Forum- Plenary Session where the Russian President Vladimir Putin delivered an opening remark and led the main discussions. During the plenary session, panelists of the discussion were Vice President of China Mr. Han Zheng and Malaysian Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Anwar Ibrahim. 

On the next day, the delegation made study tour at the Primorsk State Agricultural Academy under the Federal Scientific Center of Agricultural Biotechnology of the Far Eastern Russia. On the 8th of September, the delegation arrived back to Myanmar and welcomed by Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Russian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Is-Kander Azizov and concerned officials at Yangon International Airport.
