






The ceremony marked the 9th Anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA) held at Myanmar International Convention Center (2) in Nay Pyi Taw on 15th October and the Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Central Committee Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sent a Video Message to the ceremony.
Also present on the occasion were the Union Minister for Border Affairs, Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, secretary Lt-Gen Min Naung and Committee members, contributors in the peace process, Chairmen, Vice Chairmen, Secretaries, members of Central Executive Committee and Central Committee of NCA Signatories EAOs including Rakhine Liberation Party (ALP), Democratic Karen Benevolent Army (DKBA), Karen National Union/ Karen National Liberation Army-Peace Council (KNU/KNLA-PC), Lahu Democratic Union (LDU), New Mon State Party (NMSP) and Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS), representatives of Political Parties Working Group and special invited guests.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Solidarity and Peacemaking Central Committee Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing delivered an opening speech through a Video Message.
Next, the Union Minister for Border Affairs, Chairman of National Solidarity and Peacemaking Negotiation Committee Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung gave a remark commemorating the 9th Anniversary of the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement (NCA).
Then, the efforts for NCA signing and organizing anniversary were clarified with a Video Clip in brief. The contributors of peacemaking process and witnesses in NCA signing ceremony including UPWC Vice Chairman and Union Minister (Retired) U Aung Min, UPWC Vice Chairman and Union Minister (Retired) U Thein Zaw, Lt-Gen Myint Soe (Retired), Lt-Gen Khin Zaw Oo (Retired), U Zo Zam, U Ko Ko Gyi, JMC-U Vice Chairman (2) U Sai Myo Thant, JMC-U member U Pyae Sone and U Hla Maung Shwe from CPR gave words of commemoration marked the NCA anniversary.
After that, the leaders of NCA Signatories EAOs including (ALP), (DKBA), (KNU/KNLA-PC), (LDU), (NMSP) and (RCSS) gave words of commemoration marked the NCA anniversary. Then, the persons who made efforts for NCA signing, those who signed NCA, contributors in the peacemaking process and leaders of EAOs presented gift of honor marked the 9th Anniversary of NCA signing and were hosted with lunch of honor.
In the afternoon, the workshop marked the 9th Anniversary of NCA was held and the Union Minister, Chairman of NSPNC Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung gave an opening remark. The Secretary of NSPNC Lt-Gen Min Naing clarified the objectives of workshop and agenda.
Then, four papers compiled by four groups of conducting analysis and reporting were discussed in brief. At the workshop, attendees included individuals who had participated in the peace process, representatives from ethnic armed organizations, delegates from political parties working group, and invited guests, cordially and frankly discussed their perspectives regarding with the theme "Shaping the Future of Myanmar," including the current political situation and holding of elections, strengthening the foundations of democracy and the federal system, potential solutions to ongoing armed conflicts, pathways to continue advancing the peace process, and the needs and methods for building and developing the country. NSPNC Secretary Lt-Gen Min Naing clarified the summarized aspects gathered from the discussions.
After expressing words of thanks for the discussions of participants at the workshop by the Chairman of NSPNC Lt-Gen Tun Tun Naung, the workshop was concluded.
