97th anniversary of PLA: CGS attended the reception marked 97th anniversary of PLA

The Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and wife attended the ceremony marking the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) held at Novotel Max Hotel in Yangon in the evening on Monday.

On arrival at the ceremony, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar Ms. Cao Jing, the Chinese military attaché (ad interim) to Myanmar and the officials welcomed the Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) and party.

First, the reception marked the 97th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army (PLA) was opened with the national anthem of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and the national anthem of the People’s Republic of China and the Chinese military attaché (ad interim) to Myanmar Senior Colonel Zheng  Zijie made a greeting speech.

Next, the Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) and wife, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy to Myanmar and the Chinese military attaché (ad interim) to Myanmar cut the ceremonial cake together and had a documentary photo taken.
