8th Innthar National Day : Shan State CM attends celebration and presents awards

To raise the awareness and preserve the traditions and culture of ethnic people, the celebration of 8th Innthar National Day was held in Nyaungshwe Township on Monday morning.

First, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye and many other officials welcomed the participants of boat races and viewed round the ethnic culture galleries. Then, the 8th Innthar National day was opened with Innthar traditional dances by high school students.

This event included presenting awards by organizing committee and an honorable person made an opening speech. Next, Shan State Chief Minister U Aung Zaw Aye expressed his honorable speech and history of Innthar National Day.

Then, he urged Innthar ethnic people to continue preserve their traditions and culture in future. Next, the donated cash, and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes of the Inle Hpaung Daw Oo color photography contest were presented by the Shan State Chef Minister and officials.

After that, the messages sent to the 8th Innthar National Day and the findings from the Youth Round Table Talks to commemorate the Innthar National Day were recorded, and the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee gave words of thanks.
