8th India Education Fair: Encouraging Myanmar youths to study in India

The 8th India Education Fair 2023 commenced at the India Center in Yangon on Friday.

With the title “World Class Education at Affordable Cost”, the 2-day event is being organized by SAPE Events Media Private Limited in cooperation with the Embassy of India in Yangon.

Indian Ambassador to Myanmar Mr. Vinay Kumar attended the event and cut the ribbon of the opening ceremony.

SAPE has been organizing India Education Fair in Yangon with the support of India Embassy since 2014.

Founder& Organizer, SAPE Events Media Pvt.Ltd,., Sanjay Thapa said "“Welcome to 8th India Education Fair. The vision of organizing this education fair is to facilitate for students of Myanmar who want to pursue their further studies. India offers very good opportunities for higher studies. Our university is highly ranked. So, this exhibition will benefit and facilitate to the students those are looking for different countries for all. And most of the universities, all come from India, to give the information to the students of Myanmar.”

This Education fair brings the reputed public and private universities from India to share information about study in India along with higher education and scholarships opportunities for Myanmar students.

Managing Director, Apollo Hospitals Information Centre, Ravindra Jain said "“We are the local partner for this Education fair. So, for all enquiry, all the students can come to our office. We will arrange them for the scholarships or whatever they have a question, we can answer it… And now, in Myanmar, the education system has been changed, 10 + 2. So, next year, lot of students can go to India. And now, we are agreed to tie between Myanmar universities where they can have a one-year course in Myanmar and two-year course in India.”

A good number of Myanmar students take admission in India Universities every year for studies at different levels in various courses. The India Education could help in apprising Myanmar youth about the opportunities available in India as well as the students can use this platform to get scholarships and information of India education.

Student, Warriors International High School, Nandar Kyi Phyu Khin said "“I am very interested in ICT major. And I’m thinking about getting into scholarships. I came to this fair due to my school and coming here and was invited here. So, I think, this will bring a lot of assistance for my future and my future scholarship class. So, I really hope a lot of knowledge from this fair.”

More than 25 India’s leading Universities and higher education Institutions are participating in 2-day India Education fair which will be held till the 25th of March.
