78th Anniversary Union Day: State Flag Saluting Ceremony in Nay Pyi Taw

State Flag Saluting Ceremony to mark the 78th anniversary Union Day took place in Nay Pyi Taw on Monday morning.

Chairman of 78th Anniversary of Union Day Ceremony Organizing Central Committee Vice-Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win attended the ceremony, held at the façade of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall.

During the ceremony, the Vice Senior took the salute of the Guard of Honour. He also saluted the State Flag together with the Guard of Honour and attendees to the event. Also, the Vice-Senior General read out the message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to the 78th anniversary Union Day.

The objectives of the ceremony were to strive for the perpetual development of the Union through the Union spirit, patriotic values, a sublime state of mind and a genuine nationalist spirit. to encourage collaborative efforts among all ethnic nationals to pursue dialogue for durable peace and to end armed conflicts. to collectively advance cooperation amongst all national people, the government, and Tatmadaw to ensure stability and the rule of law. to enhance collaborative efforts to ensure nationwide stability and tranquility, enabling the successful conduct of multiparty general elections and to promote balanced development across all regions and states, as well as enhance health, education and job opportunities for ethnic nationals.
