76th Anniversary: Ministry of Foreign Affairs organizes celebration

Marking the 76th Anniversary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the alms food (day meal) offering ceremony was held at the Ministry in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

The ceremony was graced by sangahs and monks led by MasoeYain Monastery OvadaSariya Sayadaw in Nay Pyi Taw Tat Kone Township, Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe, Union Minister for International Cooperation U Ko Ko Hlaing, Deputy Minister, officials and staffs.

At the ceremony, attendees took Five Precepts from the Sayadaws and donated offertories and shared the merits gained. Then, they donated day meal to Sayadaws and monks. In the evening, the dinner, funfair and awarding ceremony marking the celebration was held and member of the SAC U Wunna Maung Lwin, Union Ministers U Than Swe and U Ko Ko Hlaing, Deputy Minister U Kyaw Myo Htut, permanent secretary, ambassadors, retired ambassadors, officials and staffs attended the event.

At the ceremony, Union Minister U Than Swe gave a speech. Later, prizes were awarded to the staffs who performed excellently in the respective fields. And then, lucky draws program was made for the staffs in commemoration of the celebration.
