75th Anniversary: Diamond Jubilee celebration of MNA

A dinner to mark the 75th Anniversary (Diamond Jubilee) celebration of Myanmar National Airlines (MNA) under the Ministry of Transport and Communication was held in Yangon, Wednesday and Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn attended the celebration.

Before the dinner, the MNA CEO made a keynote speech and provided a presentation about airline operations. A video clip of the MNA’s Diamond Jubilee celebration was also shown, and the bestseller agent award for 2023 andawards for outstanding staff were presented. The Union minister and officials of the MNA management committee extended well-wishes dedicated to the MNA’s Diamond Jubilee. Myanmar National Airlines, the state-owned business, was originally founded as Union of Burma Airways (UBA)in 1948. Presently, MNA which marks its Diamond Jubilee on16 September, offers schedule light services to Thailand, Singapore, China, Korea, and India, along with charter flights for pilgrimage to Gaya sinceearly 2015. The airline also schedules flights to areas that are hard to reach and no other private airlines have flights to there. On 19 September, MNA debutedits cargo flight to Thailand using a Boeing 737-400and similar schedules are also planned for China, Singapore, Malaysia and India.
