73rd Anniversary: Vice President Attends Union Day Ceremony In Nay Pyi Taw

In commemoration of the 73rd Anniversary Union Day, a State flag hoisting and saluting ceremony was held at the square of Nay Pyi Taw City Hall on Wednesday morning with the attendance of Vice President U Myint Swe.

A state flag hoisting team accompanied by members of national races hoisted the flag of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

The 73rd Anniversary Union Day was held with the aims; All ethnic nationals to preserve and protect for non-disintegration of the Union, non-disintegration of National Unity and Perpetuation of Sovereignty, To work on the peace process till success is achieved based on Union spirit, To strive with the collective strength of all ethnic national for rule of law, a fair justice system and the security and safety of all citizens, To prevent/protect all people from the danger of narcotic drugs as a national duty and thereby uplift their standard of living and Emergence of a Constitution which will be in alignment with a genuine Democratic Federal Union.

The Vice-President and those present saluted the state flag. The Vice President read out the message on the occasion of the 73rd Anniversary of the Union Day which was sent by President U Win Myint.

The ceremony was attended by People’s Parliament Deputy Speaker, National Parliament Deputy Speaker, Union ministers and many other officials as well as representatives of ethnic nationals and invited guests.
