6th UCB Meeting: Discussed Development Of UCB Strategic Plan

The 6th UCB Meeting of Union Coordination Body for Rule of Law Centres and Justice Sector Affairs was held in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday.

The meeting aims to facilitate rule of law, to review roles and responsibilities of sub coordination bodies and to discuss adoption of UCB strategic plan and recommendations provided by sub bodies.

At the meeting, draft of strategic plan (2018-2022) developed from Conference on Justice Sector Coordinating for Rule of Law held in March this year was approved.

Dy Permanent Secretary, Union Attorney General’s Office, Dr. Thi Thi Myint said “Today, the outcomes from the conference and the draft will be discussed for successful development of UCB strategic plan. There are several tasks set to be carried out under the 4 main goals of the strategic plan. The goals are to improve justice sector, to educate the public about justice, to improve plans for justice affairs and UCB to be a trustful body. The meeting aims for better cooperation between UCB and sub bodies.”

The meeting included presentations on the way forward of UCB strategic plan and World Justice Project (WJP) as well.
