60th BSF Raising Day Celebrations in India’s Jodhpur

India's Home Minister Amit Shah unveiled the statue of the 1st Home Minister of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel in Jodhpur on Sunday on the occasion of 60th Raising Day celebrations of Border Security Force (BSF).

The day is to commemorate the establishment of the paramilitary force on December 1, 1965.

 The BSF, over the years, has established itself as an elite force, excelling in border management, counter-insurgency roles, internal law and order duties and anti-Naxal operations in the country.
