




Steering Committee for organizing the 5th National Sports Festival held its meeting at the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs in Nay Pyi Taw on Friday. Patron of the Committee, Vice Chairman of the State Administration Council Deputy Prime Minister Vice Senior General Soe Win attended the meeting and made a speech.
He said achievements in the sports events bring prestige to the nation and its people, resembling sports as the “Wars Without Weapons”. The State Administration Council is providing assistance for development of the country’s sports standard.
He highlighted that the 5th National Sports Festival will be held under the five objectives, guided by the Head of State, and called for cooperative efforts of all involved persons for the success of the sports events.
The meeting discussed the completed works on the previous meeting minutes, designating the sports events, agendas and awarding plans, grand celebrations of opening and closing ceremonies, and work undertakings of the respective sub-committees.
