5th National Sports Festival: Preparations for 5th National Sports Festival

The 2nd work coordination meeting of the Opening and Closing Ceremony Organizing Committee for the successfully holding of the 5th National Sports Festival was held at the Ministry of Information on 3rd July.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman of the Committee Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn stressed that the 5th National Sports Festival will be held in a grand scale aiming for the emergence of the outstanding athletes who could bring the honor to the nation.

Therefore, the opening and closing ceremonies will be organized in a grand manner, raising the prestige of the nation. He also called for the concerted efforts of the relevant individuals in organizing the festivals upholding the patriotism and nationalism.

The meeting discussed the current work implementations of the committee, design preparations for the stage, dance performance programs, techinical arrangements and the necessities, fireworks arrangements, live broadcasting program and sufficient power supply during the festival.
