50th Anniversary Celebration: Golden Jubilee Rakhine State Day

50th anniversary Golden Jubilee Rakhine State Day took place at U Ottama Hall in Sittwe on Sunday. Members of the State Administration Council Dr Hmu Htan, Dr Ba Shwe and Khun San Lwin attended the ceremony which commenced with a commemorative song by Rakkhapura Music Troupe.

This was followed by reading of a message sent by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Thadoe Maha Thray Sithu Thadoe Thiri Thudhamma Min Aung Hlaing on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee Rakhine State Day. Chief Minister U Htein Lin later made a speech, explaining the government assistance for development of Rakhine State, along with the prevailing of peace, stability and rule of law.

The ceremony also included the screening of commemorative video clip, featuring the development efforts of Rakhine State Government. In addition, 50 Watt Solar Power and related equipment were provided by the Ministry of Border Affairs, followed by presenting the certificates and awards to the recipients of honourary awards for excellence in administrative, economic and social fields.
