50 factories in Batman switch to solar power

In a growing move toward sustainability and cost-efficiency, 50 factories in the Batman Organized Industrial Zone in eastern Turkey, have adopted solar energy systems. Triggered by rising energy costs and a push for environmentally friendly solutions, these facilities have embraced solar power, a clean, low-maintenance, and long-lasting energy source.

Out of approximately 200 factories in the zone, 50 have already completed the transition to solar energy, significantly reducing their electricity expenses. These systems were established using either private capital, government investment incentive certificates, or financial support from the Agriculture and Rural Development Support Institution.
