3rd time tree planting: Kachin State CM participated in tree planting

Organized by the Kachin State Department of Forest with the purposes of mitigation of climate change and natural disasters, drought and reducing heatstroke, sustainability of forest resources, understanding the value of the forest and trees by the people and the cooperation of the public in the conservation of forest by planting trees, 2024 monsoon season 3rd tree planting ceremony was held in the compound of Myitkyina University at 8 AM of 22nd of June.

At the vacant plot to the west of Myitkyina University Football Ground where the 2024 monsoon season 3rd tree planting ceremony was organized, Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan, Chief Justice of the State High Court, State Ministers, State Advocate General, University Rector, Pro-Rector, professors and students, State/District/Township level departmental personnel, trees from Nursing Training School, personnel from Ministry of Border Affairs and representatives from the civil society organizations planted a total of 1210 trees collectively.

Next, the State staff officer and officials clarified the status of planting trees by organizing tree planting ceremonies, condition of growing and thriving of the planted trees and then, Chief Minister and officials encouraged the participants who are planting the trees, it’s reported.
