






The ceremony to commemorate the 36th Anniversary of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, World Children's Day, was held at the Magway City Hall on November 20. Magway Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin attended and delivered the opening address.
First, at the 36th World Children's Day commemoration ceremony, Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin, in his opening address, stated that it is extremely necessary for parents/guardians, teachers, the public, and the Government to provide guidance at various levels to ensure that every child enjoys all rights equally, without discrimination, becomes well-mannered and virtuous individuals, and is prevented from going astray. He urges the members of the Region, District, and Township-level Committees on the Rights of the Child to widely disseminate knowledge about child protection activities among the public, including parents and guardians, to take preventive measures, and to collaborate and work together in case any child-related issues arise.
Following this, a commemorative video for the 36th Anniversary of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, World Children's Day, was shown. The children from pre-schools then performed with song and dance presentations.
It is then reported that Region Chief Minister U Tint Lwin presented honorarium cash awards and gifts to the performing group of pre-school children.
