The 34th Anniversary of the Independence of Turkmenistan

Ashgabat marked the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence with grand celebrations. The capital’s hippodrome became the central venue of the festivities, where thousands of spectators gathered to witness the spectacular competitions featuring the legendary Akhal-Teke horses.

Adding special significance to the event was the presence of Turkmenistan President. Before the races began, the head of state toured a thematic exhibition showcasing the achievements of Turkmen horse breeding, along with works of art and folk crafts dedicated to the “heavenly horses.” The festive spirit was further enriched by musical performances celebrating the country’s rich cultural heritage.
