32nd SEA Games: Myanmar Grabs More Golds in SEA Games

3 more gold medals were grabbed in 32nd SEA Games through Billiards, Snooker and Cane ball sports events. 

Held at AEON HALL, AEON MALL SEN SOK, Cambodia on 9th May, in the sports events of Billiards Singles and Snooker Singles, participated by Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, U Paut Sa grabbed gold medal winning against Singaporean athlete with 3-0 in Billiards Singles event where Singapore won silver medal and 2 athletes from Thailand won bronze medals each.

Likewise, in the 6 Red Snooker Singles event, Hein Lwin Moe from Myanmar won silver medal competing against teams from Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Laos, the Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia.

Moreover in the Chinlone (Men/Women) competition held at Basketball Hall of NSTC, team Min Thitsar Aung, Khant Win Hein, WaiyanPhyo, Yawai Aung, Zaw Lin Maung, Kaung Myat Thi ha, Mint Khant Win and Du wun Kyaw from Myanmar took gold medal award in Event-4 (Men) tournament competing against teams from Laos, Cambodia and Thailand. Also in the sport event of Event-4 Women round where participated by Myanmar, Cambodia and Thailand, team Aye Aye Thant (aka) Sar U, May Phu Han, Thae Thae, Yin Min Thwel, Su Twetar, KhaingKhaing, Tin Nilar Win and Hmone Nantha clinched gold medal while second place by Thailand and Third place by Cambodia.

After the sports events, National Chinlone sport team from Myanmar showed Myanmar traditional Chinlone playing and performed the stroke of Chinlone. There, Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, Union Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min ThienZan and officials awarded first, second and third prize winning teams respectively. 

Also in Vovinam (Men/Women) competitions held at ChroyChangvar Convention Centre, teams from Myanmar, Thailand, the Philippines, Laos and Cambodia participated in women 50 Koli tournaments and Hhnin Thet Wai from Myanmar grabbed silver medal.

Pair Knife Form Women Competition was held with the participation of Thailand, Myanmar, the Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia as well and team Eain Dray Phoo and May Han Ni Aung Lwin grabbed bronze medal, in pair sword form women event, team Su wati Htay and Eain Dray Phoo grabbed bronze medal competing against Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia and in Dual Knife Form event, Khine War Phoo grabbed bronze medal competing against Vietnam, the Philippines, Indonesia and Cambodia and in Multiple training men event, team Aik Soe Lin, Mana Kui, Myo Htet Zaw, Tun Win Naing grabbed bronze medal competing against Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and Cambodia.

Also, in football women competition, Myanmar team won Malaysia team with 5-1. Myanmar earned 3 gold, 1 silver and 5 bronze medals in the respective sports events held on May 9th.

While Myanmar continuously being participated in the sports competitions held on May 10th, Myanmar grabbed 11 gold, 8 silvers, 28 bronze medals altogether 47 medals have been achieved in SEA games till to date.

From 5th to 17th of May 2023 being hosted by Cambodia, at 32nd SEA Games sports events, Miniter for Sports and Youth Affairs U Min Thien Zan, Chairman of Myanmar Olympic Committee, U Tun Myint Oo, Director General from Sports and Physical Education Department, Myanmar Sports Team Leader and officials concerned being attended and observed.
