32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet: Myanmar delegation attends the event in the Philippines

A closing ceremony of 32nd ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet (32nd AARM) took place at Camp O’Donnell in Tarlas of the Philippines on 22nd November. Myanmar delegation led by Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy, Air) General Maung Maung Aye attended the event together with the delegation leaders from ASEAN member states.

During the event, prizes were awarded to the winners. Gen Maung Maung Aye also met with the members of Myanmar Tatmadaw Shooting Team, and gave words of encouragement. Ten teams from ASEAN member states participated in the competition, and Myanmar team ranked at fourth in the marksmanship skills while stood at third in camaraderie category.

On the 20th, the Chief of General Staff met with the Charge de affaire ad interim of the Myanmar Embassy in the Philippines and staff and families as well as Myanmar Military Attaché and staff families at Hilton Clark Hotel. On the 23rd, the delegation arrived back in Myanmar.
