

The 31st Zigong International Dinosaur Lantern Show kicked off on Friday in Zigong, Southwest China’s Sichuan Province. The event came as part of the celebrations for the upcoming Spring Festival, the most important annual festivity in China which centers around the Chinese Lunar New Year, which this year falls on Jan 29, ushering in the Year of the Snake.
The lantern show this year features 12 groups of super-large light sets, seven groups of large light sets and more than 200 groups of small and medium-sized light sets. Among them, 27 intangible cultural heritage projects from 15 provinces and cities across China are also incorporated, showcasing the fruitful achievements in protecting and inheriting intangible cultural heritage.
