






The 31st General Assembly and 7th Special Distinguished Lectures of the Federation of Engineering Institute of Asia and Pacific (FEIAP) organized by Myanmar Engineering Council and the Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies was held at the Jade Ballroom of Grand Aster Villa Hotel in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on September 11.
Present on the occasion were the Union Ministers for Electric Power, Energy, Science and Technology and Construction, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Deputy Ministers, patrons of Myanmar Engineering Council, Chairman and members, Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies Chairman and members, members of Federation of Engineering Institute of Asia and Pacific (FEIAP), representatives from the engineering societies of Asia and Pacific Region, experts, officials from the Ministries and invited guests.
After opening the 31st FEIAP General Assembly and 7th Special Distinguished Lectures, the ceremony was launched by screening the Video Clip sent by the Patron member of Myanmar Engineering Council Current Vice Chair of FEIAP Union Minister for Industry Dr. Charlie Than.
In his opening remark, Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant said Myanmar Engineering Council was acknowledged as member of FEIAP in 2016 and Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies was as Joint-Member in 2019. It’s honorable to have an opportunity to host the 31st General Assembly and 7th International Convention within a short period of time.
The FEIAP is formed with the aims at uplifting good engineering practices to facilitate the socio-economic ambitions of the countries in the Asia-Pacific Region and having opportunity to exchange ideas for development of engineering technologies among the member countries. It’s congratulated for the speakers and paper reader engineers during the convention for their endeavors and encouraged to keep pacing the innovations.
Next, member of Myanmar Engineering Council Professor Dr. Nyi Hla Nge and Professor Mr. Huang Wei on behalf of the Chair of FEIAP gave the key note speeches. Then, Chair of Myanmar Engineering Council Professor Dr. Aung Kyaw Myat and Chair of the Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies U Aung Myint clarified regarding with organizing 31st General Assembly and 7th International Convention of the Federation of Engineering Institute of Asia and Pacific (FEIAP) and the role of the engineers, took the documentary group photo and concluded the first part of the occasion.
The second part of the occasion was held at Diamond Hall 1 and the experts from home and abroad, representatives and paper writers read the papers, exchanged discussions, held talks and conducted questions and answers section.
Afterward, the attendees Union Ministers for Electric Power, Energy, Science and Technology and Construction, Chairman of Nay Pyi Taw Council, Deputy Ministers, patrons of Myanmar Engineering Council, Chairman and members, Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies Chairman and members, members of Federation of Engineering Institute of Asia and Pacific (FEIAP) , representatives from the engineering societies of Asia and Pacific Region, experts, officials were hosted dinner of honor by Myanmar Engineering Council and Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies and the artistes from the department of fine arts under the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture presented with Myanmar traditional dances.
