







The 30th Anniversary General Meeting and Dinner of the Myanmar Industries Association was held on the evening of November 23 at the Novotel Hotel in Kamayut Township, Yangon Region.
The Union Minister for Industry, Dr. Charlie Than, attended virtually from Office No. (30) of the Ministry of Industry in Nay Pyi Taw. First, the Chairman of the Myanmar Industries Association delivered a welcome address. According to the agenda, the Union Minister for Industry gave the opening address.
He stated that the Myanmar Industries Association is an organization that brings together industrial entrepreneurs from across the country, established since 1993 and standing firm to this day. He urged the responsible officials to continuously study the business needs of industrial producers and to propose, advise, and coordinate with the relevant ministries.
He expressed his wish that from its 30th year onwards, the Myanmar Industries Association would continue to increasingly serve the interests of industrial producers for many years to come. Following this, the Yangon Region Minister for Economics, and the Chairman of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry, each delivered speeches.
The General Secretary of the Myanmar Industries Association read out and presented the Association's 2025 Work Report and Financial Statement. Questions from industrial entrepreneurs were answered. The Chairman of Myanmar Industries Association then delivered the concluding remarks, and the ceremony was concluded.
In the morning, the opening ceremony for the Steelmaking Technology Refresher Training was held at the No. (2) Steel Mill (Pangpet) in Taunggyi Township, Shan State. The Union Minister for Industry and responsible officials participated virtually from Office No. (30) of the Ministry of Industry.
First, the Union Minister for Industry explained that during the work coordination meeting held on October 11, 2025, the State Prime Minister instructed relevant ministries to organize workplace refresher training for their staff. Therefore, this "Steelmaking Technology Refresher Training" is being opened to enhance the capabilities of the staff serving at the No. (2) Steel Mill (Pangpet).
Subsequently, the Deputy Director General explained the purpose of opening the training and the situation regarding the preparations made to conduct it. The 30 officers/staff from the No. (2) Steel Mill (Pangpet) will attend this training, and the training period will last for two weeks, it’s reported.
