2ndDay of 16th Plenary Meeting: Vinicchaya, religious and education affairs discussed

The second day session of the 16th plenary meeting of the Eighth 47-member State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee was held at the Wizaya Mingala Dhamma Thabin of ThiriMingalaKaba Aye Hill in Yangon at 8 AM on Wednesday.

Present at the occasion were members of the State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee led by Secretary Sayadaw of State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee Thanlyin Min KyaungPahtamapyanSarthintaik AggaMahaPandita AggaMaha Saddhamma Jotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin OoLwin and relevant officials.

Secretary Sayadaw of State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa presided over the meeting and Joint-Secretary Sayadaw Bhaddanta Sihanada acted as the master of ceremonies. Next, out of work undertakings carried out during the 3rd group’s 5th duty-assigned period of the 8th State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee, the Vinicchaya affairs, religious affairs and Education affairs were discussed by the representative Sayadaws.

After making decisions on the vinicchaya, religious and education affairs, the meeting was adjourned. When the meeting was resumed at 1 PM, the vinicchaya, religious and education affairs were discussed and made decisions. Regarding with the discussion and decisions on the report of the 3rd group’s 5th duty-assigned period, the group member Sayadaws made the clarifications.

After seeking approval regarding with the report of the report of 3rd group’s 5th duty-assigned period by the Joint-Secretary Sayadaw Baddanta Sihanada , the 16th plenary meeting of the 8th 47-member State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee was successfully concluded.

The well-wishers led by the Kyaikkasan Weiluwun (Shwekyin) monastery Sayadaw, Thingankyun Township offered alms for the whole day to the State Sangha MahaNayaka Committee member Sayadaws, who attended the meeting.
