2/80 fabric factory inauguration: SAC Chairman attended and inaugurated the factory

The inauguration of the 2/80 fine fabric factory branch of Tatmadaw Textile Factory (Meiktila) was held in the morning on 16th December.

The Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defense Services, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing attended the ceremony and inaugurated the factory.Also attended the ceremony were SAC Joint-Secretary General Ye Win Oo, council members, Union Level officials, Union ministers, Chief Ministers of Mandalay and Magway Regions, senior military officers from the Office of the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services, Commander of Central Command, officials from China Texmatech Co. Ltd., invited guests, residents of Meiktila Township, factory managers, employees, and the responsible officials.

First, Major General Win Myat, Director of the Directorate of Defense Industries, provided a briefing on the construction progress of the factory.After that, the Chairman of the State Administration Council and Commander-in-Chief of the Defense Services, along with those present, watched a video documentary of the 2/80 fine fabric factory branch (Meiktila).During the opening speech, the SAC Chairman stated that since the beginning, the people have continuously faced the three main needs: food, clothing, and shelter.

The government has worked to address these needs effectively. He mentioned that since the country’s responsibilities were taken, efforts have been made to produce raw materials from agriculture, especially rice, and to transform them into strong manufacturing industries.

The production of clothing, a fundamental human need from birth to death, is essential to improving people's lives, and the government has worked hard to ensure that quality clothing is produced domestically etc.Next, an official from China Texmatech Co. Ltd. handed over the equipment installation documents to the factory manager.Following that, the SAC Chairman received a commemorative gift from the Director of the Directorate of Defense Industries.

After that, the SAC Chairman presented a fruit-basket and commemorative gift to an official from CTMTC, a company that contributed to the construction of the factory, and CTMTC returned a gift in honor of the SAC Chairman.Next, the SAC Chairman presented gift of honor to the Project Chief Engineer who supervised the installation of the equipment.

Later, the SAC Chairman and members observed the presentations of the process of cotton plantations, production of thread and the fabric produced by the 2/80 fine fabric factory branch.Next, the SAC member Chief of General Staff (Army, Navy, Air) General Maung Maung Aye, Commander in Chief (Navy) Admiral Htein Win, Commander in Chief (Air) General Tun Aung, SAC Joint-Secretary General Ye Win Oo, Council member General Nyo Saw opened the inauguration by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.

Then, the SAC Chairman unveiled the factory signboard by pressing the auto button and sprinkled the inscription of the factory with scented water.Later, the Chairman and other members of the State Administration Council observed the weaving, knitting, and dyeing processes at the factory, inspecting the production areas. They were briefed on the current state of production, and necessary guidance was provided.

Then, the SAC Chairman presented cash awards to the factory workers, which were accepted by the factory’s responsible official.
