








The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation organized the 23rd Wednesday Talk titled “Vegetable Production and Food Safety” at the Ministry on 5th July.
The Wednesday talk is held, with the aim with the aim of finding solutions for technology requirements and difficulties faced in agricultural practices. The event was held with the attendance of Union Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Min Naung, Deputy Minister Dr. Tin Htut, Premanent Secretary, Directors General and officials as well as the officials from other region and state who joined the event via an online system.
In the opening remarks of the Union Minister, he said that it is essential to give knowledge of rules and regulations which have to follow in agricultural practices by providing technologies and giving information through media in order to distribute safe and nutritous food for the people.
He also urged the attendees to apply the facts practically which were discussed in the round table talks. During the event, the officials from the Department of Agricultural Research and the Department of Agriculture discussed the implementation of technologies for production of seasonal vegetable, producing safety foods, practicing GAP system by the growers and applying the chemical inputs systematically in growing vegetable and checking the processes of chemical residue of vegetable before distribution to the market.
The discussion was followedby a question and answer session with the attendees. Later, the Union Minister presented certificates of honour to the host and discussion team.
