






Myanmar delegation led by Union Minister for Commerce U Tun Ohn on Thursday attended the opening ceremony of 21st China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit at Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in Nanning.
During the ceremony, the dignitaries from China, Cambodia, Laos, Viet Nam and Malaysia made opening speeches. This was followed by formal opening of the summit, where Union Minster U Tun Ohn together with the delegations from China and ASEAN countries unveiled the summit by pressing button.
The China-ASEAN Business and Investment Summit was held with the aims of strengthening friendship among ASEAN member states, promoting the development of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and development of China-ASEAN region.
Then, the Union Minister and party oversaw the products booths displayed by Myanmar entrepreneurs. 84 booths from Myanmar are participating in the expo, displaying the various items including agricultural products, marine products, handicrafts, gems and jewellery.
On the 23rd of September, Union Minister U Tun Ohn, together with Vice Chairman of the Standing committee of the People's Congress of Guangxi Province Mr. Peng Jianming and officials inaugurated the Myanmar gallery by cutting ribbons and enjoyed the performance of Myanmar dance troupe. It is learnt that over 3,000 galleries from ASEAN member states are being showcased at the 21st China-ASEAN Expo.
