2024 Asian Cup: U-20 Women’s Team advances to 2nd round qualifiers

The last day of the first round of 2024 Asian Cup U-20 Women’s Qualifiers Group (G) continued in Cambodia where the Myanmar team won two consecutive matches and qualified for the second round. The Myanmar Team on Sunday won the last match of the group against Malaysian team by 3-1.

The Myanmar squad defeated both Cambodia and Malaysia in the group matches, successfully qualifying for the second stage. The Myanmar Team took the lead in the 19th minute of the game with a goal scored by Wai HninPhyo, but in the 57th minute, Nufa Sari scored an equalizer for Malaysia. The Myanmar squad tried to win the match, and Yin Loon Eain in the 80th minute and Wai HninPhyo in the 85th minute scored the winning goals. In the group matches, the Myanmar team beat the Cambodian team 1-0 and the Malaysian team 3-1.
