2023 matriculation Exam: 55 exam centers will be opened in Magway region

The matriculation examination for2022-2023 academic year will be held across the nation from 8th to 18th March and arrangements are being made to open 55 exam centers in Magway region. There are more than 13,000 students who are eligible to take the exam in the region.

Measures are being undertaken for the students to be able to sit the exam peacefully and to have the high passing rate, according to an official of Magway Region Education Officer Office.

U Thet Lay Oo, Director, Magway Region Education Officer Office, said " It is arranged to open 55 exam centers and 13,525 students will take the exam. This year, the external students are much more but we give an opportunity to them to be able to attend the basic education schools. I hope all eligible students will take the exam for 2023 academic year and all exam centers in the region will hold the exam and so also the passing rate will exceed than the last year." 

In 2021-2022 academic year, Magway region opened 81 exam centers and a total of over 19,000 students sat the exam. Of them, 8,144 students passed the exam and the passing rate was 44.03 percent.  There are 4,585 basic education schools in Magway region including monastic education schools and over 480,000 students are pursuing education in the region.
