A convoy of trucks carrying 200 tonnes of humanitarian aid from the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and other affiliated partners reached the Ukrainian city of Vinittsya on Tuesday. The 11 trucks, also sent by the German Red Cross and Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement partners, delivered material that will be dispersed across Ukraine.Among the aid transported was war-wounded medical kits, relief packages and water and sanitation supplies.

Florian Seriex, Spokesperson for the ICRC in Ukraine said “Of course, we are conscious that this assistance is only a drop in the oceans of all the needs that we currently observe in Ukraine. People need food, people need water, and people need to be in a safe place above all. And in the coming days, in the coming weeks, the International Committee of the Red Cross, its partners, will continue this humanitarian assistance and operations."

The aid will be delivered to other parts of Ukraine dependent on security conditions, access and where the necessity of fleeing civilians is greatest.
