19 Trekkers rescued from Uttarakhand’s Kalindi Pass

All 19 trekkers and porters stranded in the Kalindi Pass area in Uttarakhand of India have been successfully rescued by the State Disaster Response Force. Medical examinations found all of them to be in normal health, with Uttarkashi Additional District Magistrate confirming the successful completion of the operation.

The trekking expedition to Satopanth Peak had been halted in the Vasuki Tal area due to heavy snowfall. The trekkers were airlifted to Harsil to facilitate a safe and smooth rescue operation.
