19 arrests in Spain for smuggling migrants into the EU

Spanish National Police, in collaboration with EUROPOL and the German Federal Police, dismantle a criminal organization in Cuenca and Toledo allegedly dedicated to the smuggling of Syrian migrants to Spain, Germany and Norway.

"The migratory route passed through Africa, Asia and Europe, with each migrant paying 20,000 euros. The criminal network had alliances with other criminal organizations in each country along the route," says a spokesperson for the Spanish National Police.
