16th Plenary Meeting: 8th 47-member of SSMNC held 16th plenary meeting

The first day session of the sixteenth plenary meeting of the Eighth 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee was held at the WizayaMingala Dhamma Thabin of Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon on Tuesday.

Present at the occasion were members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee led by Secretary Sayadaw of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Thanlyin Min KyaungPahtamapyanSarthintaik Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha SaddhammaJotikadhaja Dr BhaddantaCandimaBhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin and relevant officials.

Joint-Secretary Sayadaw of State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Agga Maha Pandita BhaddantaSihananda acted as the master of ceremonies. Secretary Sayadaw of Dr BhaddantaCandimaBhivamsa presided over the meeting and gave the Saraniya Ovadakatha.

Union Minister U Tin Oo Lwin reported on religious affairs-related matters. The member Sayadaws of State Sangah Mahanayaka Committee discussed, made decisions on the Vinicchaya affairs and the meeting was concluded at 9:30 AM.     

The second part of first day session of the sixteenth plenary meeting of the Eighth 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee was resumed at 1 PM and the religious affairs and Vinicchaya affairs submitted and the member Sayadawgyis of SSMNC made decision and the meeting was concluded in the conclusion.

The Yangon Region government offered alms for the whole day to the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee member Sayadaws, who attended the meeting.
