16th ASOSAI Assembly: Myanmar delegation attends the event in New Delhi

Myanmar delegation led by Deputy Auditor-General Daw Naing Thet Oo arrived back Yangon after attending the 16th Assembly of Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) and 9th Symposium. Organized by the Indian Comptroller and Auditor-General Office, the Conference was held in New Delhi from September 24th to 27th.

During the ASOSAI Assembly, the financial and audit reports from 2021 to 2023 were approved along with the budget estimation from 2025 to 2027. It also sought approval for the strategic action plan, implementations of Bangkok Declaration, formation of ASOSAI Working Group and amendment of regulations.

During the Assembly, the Governing Board members were elected, with the adoption of New Delhi Declaration. The participants also joined the Symposium on “Digital Public Infrastructure and Gender Divide – Issues of Inclusion and Accessibility.  It is learnt that the 17th ASOSAI Assembly will be hosted in Thailand.
