161 Strategic Projects Completed In 8 Years

President Joko Widodo confirmed that during the last eight years, the government has successfully completed 161 national strategic projects that have absorbed about 11 million workers.

Speaking at an event to mark the eight years of the national strategic projects (PSN) held at the Kasablanka Hall, South Jakarta, on Wednesday, President Jokowi said that if some of the projects have not been yet finished, they should be completed by no later than the first semester of 2024.

The president also requested everyone involved in these national strategic projects to carefully check and monitor their progress to ensure their construction on schedule.

According to the president, the development of the national strategic projects have helped improve Indonesia’s competitiveness index.

In the 2023 IMD global competitiveness index, Indonesia’s ranking jumped to 34th from 44th in 2022.
