13th Respect-Paying Ceremony: Myanmar Music Association holds event in Yangon

The Myanmar Music Association (Central) held the 13th respect-paying ceremony to veteran musicians at the Sky Star Hotel in Tamwe Township of Yangon Region. Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, Deputy Minister for Information U Ye Tint and Yangon Region government ministers, Chairman of the Myanmar Motion Pictures Organization U Kyi Soe Tun, Chairman of the Myanmar Music Association (Central) U Lwin Myint and many other concerned officials as well as veteran musicians were present at the ceremony.

During the ceremony, Chairman of the Myanmar Music Association accepted K10 million donated by the Chairman of the State Administration Council and donated cash presented by the Yangon Region Government and K3 million by the Ministry of Information.

And, well-wishers donated cash to the association. And, paid respects to the veteran musicians. At this 13th respect-paying ceremony, veteran musicians above 80 years were presented K250,000 each and those under 80 K200,000 each.
