1.2 million doses of polio vaccine type 2 (nOPV) to Gaza

United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) is bringing 1.2 million doses of polio vaccine type 2 (nOPV) to Gaza on Tuesday.

In cooperation with the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) and other partners, the objective is to lead a large-scale vaccination campaign against polio virus Type-2. And, it is to have more than 640,000 children below the age of ten vaccinated against polio in Gaza.
