









The celebration of 11th Anniversary of Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation was held at Horizon Lake View in Nay Pyi Taw in the morning on 7th August.
The opening ceremony was graced by the honorary patrons of Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and Daw Khin Thet Htay. In his opening remark at the celebration, Chairman of Myanmar National Committee for Women’s Affairs Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win said that it’s been 11th years that Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation has been carrying out the development of the women and children.
The implementation of rural area solar electrification project was initiated under the MoU signed by MWCDE, Barefoot College of India and Indian Embassy in Myanmar. It's honorable for implementing Good Treatment Project which trained the parents and guardians for the entitlement of children’s rights.
The foundation is thankful for providing assistance in opening of vocational trainings for 288 women who are accepted in Women’s Training School under the Department of Social Welfare for the accessibility of the rights of women and children etc.
Next, the Chairperson of Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation Dr. Wei Wei Thar extended words of greeting. Then, the Central Executive Committee member of MWCDF Dr. Nanda Hmun gave a talk with the topic of “Moving Forward to the Development of ASEAN Women”.
Next, Documentary Movie of the theme of MWCDF “May Women and Children gain the secured and beautiful lives” and “From the Good Treatment to the Change” documentary movie recorded the foundation’s activities were shown.
After that, the honorary patrons of Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and Daw Khin Thet Htay and Chairman of Myanmar National Committee for Women’s Affairs Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement Dr. Soe Win awarded the prizes to the prize winners.
In the second part of the celebration in the afternoon, the work coordination meeting of Myanmar Women and Children Development Foundation was held, it’s learnt.
