1 Order No. 61/2024: Conferment of Honorary Titles and Awards

The State Administration Council issued Order No. 61/2024, introducing the second annex provision for conferring honorary titles and awards. The annex was added as per Section 205(a) of the constitution, which states, “The President may, in accordance with the law, have the power to confer honorary titles and awards.”

In line with this provision, the council introduced the Thiri Zeya Kyaw Title and Thiri Theinkha Kyaw Title for excellence in international cooperation, as well as the Thiri Thiha Kyaw Title and Thiri Thura Kyaw Title for outstanding contributions to international military cooperation.

The criteria for conferring these honorary titles and awards were outlined in the second annex provision, issued in accordance with Section 419 of the Constitution. The order was signed by Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, Chairman of the State Administration Council.
