“Dignity is nobler than Life": Union Minister observes rehearsal of dramatic show

Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Ko Ko, Deputy Minister Dr Moe Zaw Tun and officials observed rehearsal of “Dignity is nobler than Life" dramatic show performed by the Fine Arts Department of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Culture, arrangements for recording, lighting and setting for the show at the National Theatre in Yangon on Tuesday.

The great dramatic show features about love story of Taungoo King Nat Shin Naung and Princess YazaDhatuKalyar, the tragedy of YazaDhatuKalyar who was the daughter of King Hanthawady due to the politics and battles that arose from the rival of monarchs, Nat Shin Naung who was not only brave and courageous but also excelled in fine arts and the tragic ending of King Nat Shin Nayng as he trusted and believed the alien and collaborated in trying to solve the problem of the country.

The show is presented as a lesson that should be taken in life.The great dramatic show will be staged for civil servants who are serving responsibilities of the state, Tatmadawmen who are serving for the country and their families, rectors and students from respective schools and universities and public from 11th, 12th and 14th January at the National Theatre in Yangon which was upgraded by China and handed over to Myanmar marking 75th Diamond Jubilee Independence Day.
