




Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications Admiral Tin Aung San attended the “Baltic Sea Day” via online jointly organized with 23rd International Environmental Forum held at Saint Petersburg City at the invitation of the Saint Petersburg Government of Russian Federation.
In his remark, the Deputy Minister Union Minister said that the vital role of the oceans for the human beings, requirement to set the plans harmonized for those who use the sea water, environmental conservation, cooperation for implementation of international conventions concerning with the prevention of water pollution, implementation of Myanmar for mitigation of impacts on the marine ecosystem and human societies due to the leaking of fuel by drawing plans, natural disasters affected by the climate change and the government’s implementation for the sustainable society for the present and future generations setting the strategies.
The International Environmental Forum is held by the Government of Russian Federation annually and this year the 23rd event to be held on 22-24 March, acknowledges the ecological problems of the Baltic Sea and the ways of their solving.The Forum was attended by the members of Saint Petersburg Government of Russian Federation, officials from Ministry of natural recourses and conservation of ecosystem, Ministry of International Cooperation, Ministry of Transport, experts of related fields, scientists, researchers and delegations from China, Vietnam and Belarus altogether over 10,000 participants and the Union Minister for Transport and Communications together with the departmental officials.
