‘Kan Kaung’ won multiple awards: Myanmar film won at SEA Int’l Film Festival 2024

The Myanmar film ‘Kan Kaung’ (Lucky) won the Best Producer Award, Best Director Award, and Best Actor Award at the SEA International Film Festival 2024, according to Academy Award-winning director Win Lwin Htet, who created the movie. Based on a story by Kyel Su Thit, the film was scripted by Moe Ni Lwin and directed by Win Lwin Htet for Khathtiya Production.

The movie stars Paing Takhon, Academy Thu Htoo San, Academy Khin Zarchi Kyaw, and Nay Htut. The film not only portrays the peaceful coexistence between humans and animals but also showcases Myanmar’s cultural beauty and natural landscapes exceptionally.

It will be screened not only in Thailand but also in Cambodia. 'Kan Kaung' also received awards for the Best Film, Best Cinematography, and Best Movie Music at the 2023 Myanmar Film Academy Award event.
