Yangon Region Parliament: Market, Drinking Water, License Issues Discussed

Yangon Region Parliament held its regular meeting on Thursday.

Daw Sandar Min from Seikkyi Kanaungto Township Constituency-1 enquired about a plan to renovate and retrofit the old Thiri Mingalar Market. The Yangon Mayor replied that the regional government shut down the market in 2017 as the building is over 20 years old, and there is no plan to renovate and retrofit the market.

U Win Maung from Hlaingthaya Township Constituency-1 raised a question on a plan to provide drinking water to the residents of the Township in connection with Yangon Water Supply system. The Yangon Mayor replied that works already began to provide drinking water to the residents. 

U Yan Shin from Mayangon Township Constituency-1 enquired about plans to issue more Meat Shop licenses in Yangon and to develop Poultry Products Manufacturing industries for quality meats.
