The 1st International Conference on Advanced Information Technologies kicked off in Yangon on Wednesday.
Yangon University of Information Technology organized the conference, aiming to read the research papers under the theme of Networking, Cloud Computing and Big Data, Software Engineering, Security, Image and Signal Processing, Mobile and Distributed Computing. Local and international researchers have been discussing the matters related to the papers.
Rector, University of Information Technology, Saw Sanda Aye said “This conference also aims to promote Myanmar’s Information and Communications Technology sector research activities. Local and international researchers are discussing and sharing the knowledge. We hope to have more opportunities to share and exchange ideas and knowledge with other researchers from many international institutions.”
The conference is also one of the activities by Center of Excellence of University of Information Technology opened in 2012-2013 Academic year. A total of 25 research papers will be read out at the conference.
Professor, Faculty of Computer Systems & Technologies, Aung Htein Maw said “For a university, research is a main pillar. In this conference, papers by the students from universities of Information Technology across the country are being read out. So, this conference will also bring benefits to the local and international researchers.”
The conference is set to be held till Thursday at Yangon University of Information Technology.
